Animal Care

Internship, Education and Animal Care

Summer, Winter, Fall and Spring!  If you are looking for work experience to boost your resume ZooWorld has hands-on opportunities for you!  Learn first hand proper husbandry techniques, animal handling and diet prep.  Our animal care interns rotate through each section, ensuring a well-rounded experience.  Education interns will assist with the husbandry of our education animals and participate in hands-on animal encounters and tours with zoo guests.

ZooKeeper 1

Full and part time animal care staff.  Some experience working in an animal related field required.  Qualified applicants must be hardworking, dedicated and have the ability to adapt and learn on a daily basis.  Zookeepers will be responsible for maintaining exhibits in the domestics section and will be heavily involved in guest interactions.  ZooWorld requires all staff to be positive and engaging with zoo guests as it puts a large focus on providing a positive guest experience.  Compensation: $8.50/hr

Internship

Interns in our Guest Service department will assist with event planning, inventory management, zoo camp and so much more.  Learn how to manage an entertainment based business through hands on work experience.

Concessions Cashier

Full and part time staff to work in small concession stand. Qualified applicants with have a background in customer service, the ability to work with minimal supervision and stand for long periods of time.  ZooWorld requires all staff to be positive and engaging with zoo guests as it puts a large focus on providing a positive guest experience.  Compensation: $8.50/hr
