ZooWorld’s best kept secret is that it is home to one of Florida's best petting zoos. Hand-picked kid-friendly animals love to eat from your hand or from a feed cup. They also enjoy an ear scratch in this fun farmyard atmosphere. Our modern twist on the classic red barn houses Katahdin sheep, African pigmy goats, llama, mini-cow, and Indian axis deer!

Whether you are visiting for the first time or have lived here your entire life, ZooWorld has one of the best petting zoos near you and it’s right in the PCB area.

Farmyard Fun FAQ's

How many animals are there in the petting zoo?
There are over 40 animals in ZooWorld petting zoo.
What do the animals at the petting zoo eat?
Our petting zoo residents eat... wait for it.... petting zoo food! In addition to this tasty treat, they always have fresh hay and water!
Do they like to be pet?
Each animal has its unique personality, just like us! Most of the animals in the petting zoo like to be pet but it’s important to be patient and gentle with each of them. Make friends before reaching in for a scratch!
Do you have rescue animals at the petting zoo?
Luca, one of our Indian axis deer was born with a cleft pallet so he couldn't drink milk from his mom. We bottled-fed him and now he is one of the most loved and happy animals in the petting farm!

Jazz the donkey was a rescue as well. He loved his new home so much and got so comfortable that he put on a little extra weight... and now he's on a diet. You'll recognize Jazz by the fat rolls we are still working to get rid of!

Blue the pony also came to us a little bit rough. His care takers and super fans know to be patient as he is incredibly shy, but sweet once he warms up.

“Hidden gem of PCB! My 2 year old absolutely loved the petting zoo area. It's a little bit smaller than your average zoo, which is perfect for the area, but that makes it easier to walk through with younger kids. They have wagons available to rent as well if your little one doesn't want to walk the whole time..."

“Had an amazing experience at this zoo, got to feed a giraffe, feed alligators, and even hold a baby kangaroo, they had an amazing zoo tech named trey who taught us about the kangaroo and many other animals and it was just an amazing experience, really a great place to go spend the day.”

” This is the best zoo experience I’ve had and I’ve been to the San Diego and Nashville zoo. It was $20 per military ticket and there were lots of different animals to see. You could pet/ feed a lot of the animals and there were multiple baby animals when I went which was super cute. This place is a great value.”
